A Mycenaean grave has been found in Viotia

One of the largest Mycenaean carved graves in Greece has been found in Livadeia, near Orchomenos, during the first year of the five-year co-operation program between the Ministry of Culture and Sport and Ephorate of Antiquities of Viotia and the British School of Athens / University of Cambridge.

The construction of the tomb dates to 14 B.C. The finding of the burial site and its features will give researchers the opportunity to understand better the burial practices of the region during the Mycenaean times.
