Cities with the most green areas in Greece

In April 2016, WWF Hellas as part of the WWF Better Life project, created the “WWF GreenSpaces”, an innovative, free mobile application, to evaluate the green areas in Greece. As a result a total of 9,000 citizens, have been using it until now in 126 Greek cities.

According to Municipalities level, Kalamata has an average of  7.8 points, Petroupoli (7.7), Ilion (7.7), Vari – Voula – Vouliagmeni (7.5), Tripoli (7.4), Filothei-Psychiko (7.3), Lykovrysi-Pefki (7.2) and are the areas whose parks have received on average the highest score. On the other hand, the lowest average score in green areas is found in the municipalities of Kassandra (3,6), Thermi (4,3), Rethymno (4,7), Larissa (4,8), Zografou 4,8).
